Manifesting Hope

Manifesting Hope

“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.” – Desmond Tutu

During these difficult and challenging times we are all looking for something more. More outside of ourselves, more things to distract ourselves and more reasons to find hope. And, yes, there is so much loss right now. Lots of life loss, loss of jobs, loss of finances, loss of joy and optimism. But I want to invite you to a practice that I like to call Manifesting Hope.

It’s not just a mindset or a list of positive attributes or blessings that you have (although that is also a good thing to do!). It is a practice of putting yourself into a hopeful place every day. With COVID-19 there’s a lot of things that we can’t change. We can’t change the societal requirements, we can’t change people that have sadly passed away, but we are in control of what goes on in our minds. What I’d like to invite you to do every day is to manifest hope.

This isn’t a hard practice and doesn’t take very much time at all. I invite you upon rising, or before you go to bed, to get into a relaxed state. You can be lying down or sitting up -your choice. As you start to relax and get more centered in your body, allow your mind to wander to a place you would love to be. It doesn’t have to be a real place, it could be a place you have never visited or place you’ve been to many times. Either way, allow yourself to imagine this place. Make it as vibrant as possible. Allow yourself to breathe in the scents. Touch the fabrics, look around at the sky of wherever you are. The more real that you make it, the better it will be.

Now this might sound just like a meditation but there’s a difference. As you are imagining yourself in this environment I invite you almost to teleport your spirit to this place. Many people understand that time is multi-dimensional. Our spirit can be in many places at the same time. So as you are at your favorite place I invite you to allow yourself to fully project your spirit body into this place. It is almost like astral projection but it can also be to a place in your imagination. Allow yourself to spend as much time in the secret place as you can. While you were walking around exploring, allow that sense of hope and happiness to fill your being. Touch it, feel it, smell it. Know it to be true.

While you are experiencing this beautiful place you are also manifesting your desires in a real way. You are allowing those desires that you feel and seek to become real to you in that moment, and you are putting those feelings into the universe and allowing it to be known. By living in these moments you are not just filling up your hope cup but you are also manifesting your future. It’s a win-win either way.

After you have spent your desired amount of time at this place allow yourself to slowly come back to this world. You will feel lighter, happier and more at peace. If you practice this every day I promise you will carry that sense of hope with you throughout the day. And this hope will support you through any difficulties that you may encounter. While we are not in control of the current crisis outside, we are in control of what beautiful gardens we may grow on the inside. I encourage you to spend time in your own garden, palace or beach. It will nurture you in ways you can’t even imagine.

Sending you all love and hugs,
Mari
