My Mind, the Cosmic GoPro

When people hear that I’m a psychic medium, they usually imagine me surrounded by flickering candles, incense smoke, and the occasional chatty ghost giving me fashion advice. And while that’s not entirely wrong, my work goes far beyond messages from the spirit world. These days, one of the most profound—and oddly practical—ways I use my abilities is through something called remote viewing.

Remote viewing is essentially psychic sightseeing. It’s the art of perceiving information about a distant place, person, or even a pet without using the five senses. In other words, it’s like borrowing someone else’s point of view across space (and sometimes time), using nothing but consciousness and intention.

If I had to describe what it feels like, I’d say remote viewing is like being a GoPro strapped to someone’s head—except the GoPro is my awareness. I don’t always see crystal-clear movie scenes; it’s more like snippets of sensory impressions, textures, or emotions. One moment, I might feel the crunch of gravel underfoot, and the next, I’ll get a whiff of something oddly specific, like wet dog or motor oil. It’s not glamorous—but it’s effective.

One of the most rewarding ways I use remote viewing is to help locate lost animals. Our furry friends are remarkably psychic themselves, so tuning into them can feel like connecting with a fuzzy, wandering soul that’s halfway between curiosity and chaos. I once worked on a case involving a runaway golden doodle named Daisy. Her owner was heartbroken, convinced Daisy had disappeared forever.

When I tuned in, I suddenly saw through Daisy’s “eyes”—a low vantage point, tall grass, and what looked like a rusted green tractor. I also felt the vibration of water nearby. Sure enough, Daisy was found later that day by a pond behind an old barn about two miles from home. She came trotting out covered in mud but looking smug, as if she’d just completed a spiritual retreat.

Another time, I helped track a missing cat who—true to feline form—did not want to be found. My mind-Gopro showed me narrow metal bars and flickering lights, which turned out to be a storm drain under a street. When the cat’s owner arrived, she heard faint meows echoing from below. The cat was rescued, slightly offended by the ordeal but otherwise fine.

Now, not every session is so tidy. Sometimes the information comes in metaphors, like seeing an open gate to represent “freedom,” or a tangled rope meaning “stuck energy.” Other times, I might sense strong emotions rather than clear images—panic, exhaustion, or relief. It’s as if consciousness speaks a symbolic language, and I’m just translating its poetry as best I can.

The Metaphysics of Finding What’s Lost

From a metaphysical standpoint, remote viewing works because everything—every being, object, and event—is connected through the fabric of consciousness. There is no true separation; there are only varying frequencies of perception. When I focus on a missing person or animal, I’m not searching in the physical sense. I’m aligning my awareness to their energetic signature—like tuning into a radio station that’s been broadcasting all along.

The process begins with stillness. I quiet my thoughts, call in my guides, and set a clear intention: to serve the highest good and find what is lost. Then I simply listen. Sometimes I’ll feel pulled in a certain direction, or I’ll sense movement, like the wind rushing past my face. It’s a bit like lucid dreaming, except I’m awake and occasionally muttering to myself about landmarks. Many times I like to use a map as a starting place and use my hand like a dowsing rod to help me pinpoint the location of the animal.

One of my more serious experiences involved a missing person. I won’t share details, out of respect, but I will say that the impressions I received—sounds of running water, a violent altercation, and the smell of dirt and oil—helped narrow the search area. The validation later came in a quiet phone call and a tearful “thank you.” Those are the moments that remind me why I do this work.

Humor keeps me grounded, though. Remote viewing can be emotionally intense, and laughter is spiritual first aid. My guides, bless them, many times have to repeat the clues over and over to me. Sometimes I can be a little daft. During one particularly stressful session, when I was trying to tune in to a missing parrot, I kept hearing the words, “Check the buffet.” I assumed it was symbolic—some metaphor about abundance or temptation. Turns out, the bird had indeed wandered into a local restaurant and was happily sampling the salad bar.

At the heart of it all, remote viewing is not about psychic power; it’s about connection – connection to the cosmos, the energy, to the spirit of Source all around us. Every session reminds me that consciousness is vast and loving, and that nothing—no creature, no person—is ever truly separate. We may lose sight of one another, but energetically, we’re always within reach.

So yes, my mind has become a kind of cosmic GoPro. Sometimes the footage is breathtaking, sometimes blurry, and occasionally ridiculous. But every glimpse into that infinite field of awareness feels like a sacred privilege—a reminder that love, intuition, and the mystery of existence are all part of the same grand, interconnected view.

And if you ever lose your cat, your sense of direction, or your car keys, just remember: the universe already knows where they are. You just need the right frequency—and maybe a psychic with a decent sense of humor—to tune in.

Listening to Your Inner Compass: Ways to Deepen Your Intuition

Intuition lives in everyone. It is that steady, hushed voice that tugs at you, the flutter in your stomach when a situation feels off, the snap of certainty that later proves accurate.

Working as a psychic medium and energy healer, I witness over and over that intuition is not a rare talent, it is woven into human nature. The harder truth is that many of us simply refuse to believe it. We over analyze, second guess, then argue ourselves away from what our core already knows.

The first step toward hearing intuition is to slow the tempo and actually listen. Inner guidance rarely belts out its message, it murmurs softly. Try listening to that whisper each morning with a few slow breaths, a quiet stroll, or a page of writing. Pay attention to your body: a sense of ease or lift usually signals “yes,” while tightness or drag often means “no.”

If you want the bond stronger, I like two simple tools, intuitive journaling and symbol spotting. For journaling, write a question down, then let the pen sprint across the paper, no edits, no judging. Insight slips through the ink. Symbol play feels lighter, ask Spirit to give a nod, maybe a feather, a number, a lyric, to confirm your path. When the sign pops up, give thanks out loud. Those quick victories stack up, building faith that you are held and guided. The guides love to be acknowledged that you’ve “heard” them!

Remember, intuition does not shove logic aside, it sits beside it. The more you salute that inner voice, the steadier and more in line your choices will feel. Trusting intuition is, at heart, trusting yourself. That is when life starts to glide, and you discover you are protected, led, and exactly where you belong.

Receive a Good Psychic Reading Without Giving Away Your Power

kg blogHave you ever felt stuck, at a crossroads, or just unsure of which way to turn? Those are the moments when many people seek out a psychic reading—and for good reason. A reading can be deeply healing and transformative, offering clarity when our own inner voice feels drowned out
by life’s noise. In my experience, a good psychic doesn’t so much tell you something new as they reflect back to you what your spirit has been whispering all along. Sometimes we just need that mirror to help us see and trust it.

That said, it’s so important to remember: you always have free will. No matter how gifted a psychic may be, the choices in your life are always yours to make. A healthy reading will never take your power away or leave you feeling dependent. Instead, it should strengthen your connection to yourself, helping you walk away feeling more confident and grounded in your own truth.

I often encourage people to think of a psychic session as a tool, not a rulebook. Take what resonates with you and lovingly let the rest go. Your intuition is your most important compass, and a good reader will encourage you to trust it more deeply. The best insights are often not revelations from outside of you, but reminders of what you already know in your heart.

When you approach a reading with openness and discernment, it can become an incredibly valuable experience. You may gain perspective, reassurance, or clarity, but most importantly, you’ll walk away feeling more aligned with your own inner wisdom. That balance—welcoming guidance while standing firmly in your personal power—is what makes a reading truly empowering and life-giving.

As a professional psychic and medium, I know firsthand how powerful and healing a reading can be when it’s approached with both openness and discernment. My deepest intention in this work is always to empower, never to take away your free will. If you feel called to explore guidance, clarity, or healing through a reading, I’d be honored to hold that space for you. And whether it’s with me or another trusted reader, remember: the true gift of any session is not about giving your power away—it’s about reconnecting with the wisdom that has always been within you.

Is Your Home Energetically Healthy or Sick? A Psychic’s Guide to Residual Energy

Real estate: Is your home energetically healthy or sick?

home sweet homeAs a home buyer, you spend an enormous amount of time looking for the perfect home. Maybe it’s been remodeled exactly to your liking, or it is an amazing bargain. You even hire a certified home inspector to ensure you’re buying a safe and sound home for your family. Everything looks great to push the green light to buy that house; but wait – not so fast…

As an Evidential Medium and Psychic, I’ve spent many years being a leading paranormal expert and haunting consultant for many of the most haunted places in the United States. Residual paranormal activity stems not from active spirits that may be earthbound and have their own reasons for staying but instead solely comes from the previous occupant’s emotions and state of health at passing. That energy then gets absorbed within the walls, ceilings and floors.

What is imprinted residual energy?

The type of energy that is in your home either lifts you up or tears you down. Every negative word, action, illness, divorce, bankruptcy, mental disorder and manner of passing is absorbed into the walls, ceilings and floors of house. It’s like dirty sponges you can’t see but I assure you that sometimes you can feel this residual energy when you first walk into a prospective home. This phenomenon is echoes of the past playing over and over again.  Have you ever walked through the door of a house for sale and immediately wanted to turn around and walk out? If you have, congratulations, you felt the imprinted energy and did the right thing by leaving. But what if you don’t recognize that the home you’re buying is one big dirty sponge?

Why you should pass on houses where previous occupants experienced health issues or mental illness:

The body when sick is very vulnerable to negative, intelligent spirits.  I was asked to energetically inspect the home of a client whose mother had a terminal illness.  The sickly mom was living with the client and the entire family experienced strange activity inside the home. When I arrived, an invisible hand pulled my hair from behind. And I’m not talking about a gentle tug; my head jerked backwards with the force of a whiplash. I was not happy to say the least. This also applies to such conditions as Asperger’s and Autism.  Any emotional and physical vulnerability can attract intelligent negative spirits before manifesting into unintelligent residual energy within the house. Whatever is happening in the present will be felt and heard after the previous owners are long gone.

How does the previous homeowner’s negative residual energy affect yours and your families and health and psyche?

  • As the months pass in your new home, are you having more arguments between you, your spouse or other family members?
  • Are you feeling more fatigued than you ever have before?
  • Did you develop autoimmune diseases despite being declared healthy prior to moving into your new home?
  • Is any household member feeling sudden bouts of depression and anxiety that you didn’t experience prior to moving in house?
  • Do you hear knocks inside the walls that can’t be explained?

Residual energy is purely ramped up electromagnetic fields (EMF) that build up like a volcano.  It must have somewhere to disperse, hence the knocking sounds.

I’ll share a few simple methods to help clear the residual energy in your new or existing home.

Palm to wall method:

palm on wall
Place both palms of hands on each wall of every room and thank the home for accepting you. Then with true intention in your own words, remove
and release every emotion, action and health history of previous occupants back to the Universe. This allows you to then imprint your own history to the house.

Onyx to Amythest method:

amethyst onyx
Starting with the top
Left Corner of front door (only inside of door) attach an Amethyst Stone either by glue or whatever method of attaching you prefer. At upper Right Corner of door attach an Onyx Stone. Move to the bottom Left Corner of door and attach an Onyx Stone and finish with attaching an Amethyst Stone to the Right Corner. This is an amazing method to raise the vibration and cleansing flow of your home.

We all try our best to keep our bodies clean and free of negative energy so why wouldn’t we do same for our home? After all, our home should always be our main sanctuary. If you find yourself needing a spiritual real estate consultant, please feel free to contact me.

Messages from Mercury: Reading Your Hands, Rewriting Your Life

hand sample venus mars & basic linesPart 1: Mercury Retrograde in Your Hands: Rewrite Your Story

Focus: Introduction to the link between Mercury + Hand Analysis, meaning of Mercury, communication styles, finger length, receptive vs. active hands, and your power to rewrite your story.

Part 2: Decode the Pinky: Mercury Messages from Your Hands

Focus: Hand diagnostics (finger length, height, markings), energetic/physical clues (fight/flight, EFT, breathwork), intuitive gift markings, the mythic Mercury, and encouragement to embody your gifts.

🌟PART 1: Mercury Retrograde in Your Hands: Rewrite Your Story

Did you know the sky’s astrology shows up in your hands? That’s right—your palms are celestial maps, and this Mercury Retrograde invites you to read between the lines—literally.

Mercury, the planet of communication, negotiation, and mental agility, is retracing a wide path through Leo this month. It’s mostly unbothered by other planetary influence until its entrance and exit—leaving you with a potent opportunity to revisit, reclaim, and reframe your voice.

This retrograde is about self-expression. Identity. Owning your story, not blaming your past. You define the circumstances now—they no longer define you. Are you ready?

Let’s explore what your Mercury finger (aka the pinky) reveals about your voice, your fears, and your soul’s path to becoming a more powerful communicator.

Mercury: The Trickster Who Names Your World

Mercury doesn’t just symbolize how we speak—it also rules how we make meaning. When you name something, you interact with it. You change it. And it changes you.

That’s Mercury’s gift: raising consciousness through naming, language, and exchange. The little finger lives on the edge of the hand—where you meet the world, and the world meets you.

Whether you’re whispering into a journal or commanding a crowd, Mercury in your hand reveals how you’re wired to connect, perceive, and share. But as the Trickster, Mercury also hides insight in the places you least expect—your greatest fears may hold your greatest message.

What Element Is Your Mercury?

Your Mercury element (Air, Fire, Water, or Earth) determines your innate style of communication. This can be read through your fingerprint type—or found in your astrology chart. Here’s a glimpse:

  • 🔥 Fire Mercury (like Gandhi): You’re here to inspire. Words catch fire in your hands. You receive and transmit messages that grow a movement.
  • 🌊 Water Mercury (think Oprah or Tony Robbins): You’re here to feel your words. Your audience rises and falls with the tide of your emotional truth. You change the world by making people feel seen.
  • 🌬️ Air and Earth styles are rarer in handprints for Mercury due to its lower-ranking position, but these elements may still show up in your chart and add refinement or grounding to your communication gifts.

While there isn’t always a direct match between the element of Mercury in your astrology chart and the fingerprint type on your Mercury finger, the two often dialogue in meaningful ways. They may amplify each other—or balance one another out.

For example, someone with Water Mercury in the hands and Air Mercury in their chart might process feelings intuitively (Water) while articulating them with clarity and detachment (Air). Together, they create a bridge between head and heart—bringing emotional insight into public conversations without flooding the space.

It’s less about pinpointing a perfect match, and more about noticing how your blueprint speaks through multiple channels. When you read your chart and your hands together, you unlock more dimensions of your communication style, your soul’s messaging system, and your growth path.

Receptive vs. Active Mercury Hands

Check which hand your Mercury finger shows up strongest on:

  • Left Hand = Receptive Mercury: You’re wired to process internally. Early life conflicts may have been the training ground for wisdom. You offer powerful insight because you’ve felt your way through it. Your strength grows as you learn to trust and share what’s real.
  • 🖐️ Right Hand = Active Mercury: You’ve been in the communication arena from the start. You may not know what your message is at first (thank Mercury’s trickster ways), but rest assured: you’ve got one, and the world needs it.

Your job is to see where others don’t have a voice—and lend yours. Over time, that message sharpens into something unforgettable.

Mercury Retrograde: Rewriting the Script

This retrograde offers a golden opportunity to challenge the lies fear tells you. Remember: fear is wired for survival, not truth. It overestimates threats and underestimates you.

Your brainstem gets the mic before your wiser mind even wakes up—but that doesn’t mean it’s running the show. Your job is to parent those runaway thoughts.

Mercury retrograde in Leo is a chance to develop a more authentic relationship with your voice—one rooted in vulnerability, maturity, and creativity. You don’t need to believe every thought you think. Instead, get curious: What story would you love to tell about yourself?

You’ve got the pen. Now’s the time.

Sneak Peek at Whats Next

In Part 2, we’ll decode the length, placement, and markings of your Mercury finger. You’ll learn how your pinky can warn you when your nervous system needs help, and how certain gift markings reveal psychic or intuitive insight.

Ready to get hands-on with Mercury? Keep reading. 👇

🌟PART 2: Decode the Pinky: Mercury Messages from Your Hands

Welcome back, Storyteller.

In Part 1, we explored how Mercury Retrograde connects to your communication style—and how the pinky finger is Mercury’s microphone in your hands. This time, we’re getting more personal.

Mercury retrograde invites you to listen to what your hands have been trying to tell you: about your nervous system, your childhood conditioning, and the power you hold to shift the narrative.

Ready to decode your Mercury messages? Let’s get hands-on.

The Pinky Region: Mercurys Domain

From the tip of the pinky down through the outer palm to the wrist, you’re in Mercury’s territory. This region tells us a lot about how safe you feel expressing yourself—and what your system is doing in response to perceived threats.

One surprising diagnostic tool? Finger height.

If your pinky sits significantly lower than your ring finger, your body may be stuck in fight/flight/freeze mode. This isn’t just symbolic—it’s physical. A chronically low pinky can point to adrenal fatigue or a nervous system that’s been running on overdrive.

Insight: Before you push for visibility, your system may need calming. Breathwork, tapping (EFT), and nervous system resets can work wonders here. Regulation comes before revelation. Your body is talking, when you listen you harness more wisdom and energy to reclaim your now.

Mercury Finger Length: Your Communication Roots

Let’s measure. Your middle finger is the benchmark. If your pinky is around 75% its length, you’re in the average range. Above that = long. Below = short. And both ends of the spectrum have their own lessons:

📏 Short Mercury Finger

This suggests you didn’t grow up feeling safe to express your needs or speak your truth. Now, Mercury retrograde invites you to try again—on your own terms. Practice asking for what you want, even if you’re unsure how it’ll land. You’re rewiring your brain to trust that youve got you.

And yes, sometimes a geyser erupts after decades of silence. That’s okay. Journal it. Voice memo it. Practice before performing. The goal is to make it safe within you first—so you stop subconsciously choosing the “wrong” people to share with, just to confirm old fears.

This is your chance to interrupt that pattern and rewrite your social contracts.

🎤 Long Mercury Finger

You’re probably comfortable expressing yourself—and might even crave being seen and heard. But your work now? To trade a little certainty for curiosity. Ask yourself: Where might my strong opinions block a deeper truth?

You’re excellent at sending. Mercury Retrograde now asks you to receive. Open up. Let feedback, emotion, even disagreement land. You might be surprised what gets through when you stop talking first or over it.

Markings in the Mercury Zone: Intuition, Insight, and the Spotlight

Even deeper clues lie in the lines and symbols beneath the Mercury finger. These gift markings can reveal heightened intuitive abilities—and how they want to be expressed.

🌟 Intuition Line

Look for what resembles the rim of a bowl curving beneath your pinky. Whether it’s distinct or lightly etched, this line shows you’re absorbing insight from your environment, even when you’re not fully aware of it. You may “just know” things—especially about people, timing, or unspoken dynamics.

If the line stretches into the ring finger’s domain (Apollo), this could point to public recognition for your intuitive gifts. Whether you’re a coach, artist, healer, or storyteller—don’t be shy. You’re wired to receive, translate, and transmit what others can’t quite name.

And if you don’t see the line? Don’t worry. We all have different access points for brilliance. Your gifts may be elsewhere in your hands—or chart—or simply still unfolding.

Where Does Your Head Line Land?

Your head line (the long line curving across your palm) reveals your thinking style—and where it ends matters, especially in Mercury’s domain:

  • Ends under Mercury zone, higher up = Practical insight. Brilliant problem-solver.
  • Ends lower in Mercury zone = Deeply intuitive. Sometimes mediumistic or empathic.
  • Marked underworld communicator = You’re someone who can handle the heat of the “hell realms” and return with wisdom. Think therapists, shamans, depth coaches, or shadow workers.

This is Mercury’s signature move: go into the dark and return with the light.

Even Jupiter—the king of the gods—sent Mercury to the underworld when he didn’t want to go himself. Why? Because Mercury could come back.

So can you.

Mercury’s Final Trick: Reclaiming Your Whole Self

Mercury Retrograde isn’t just about revisiting the past. It’s about re-seeing yourself. Not as the version shaped by fear, but as the full spectrum being you’re here to be.

You’re not lovable despite your flaws. You’re lovable with them. When you integrate that, you stop projecting your shadow onto others. You reclaim your voice, your power, and your ability to co-create reality.

And yes—pay attention to judgment. When you feel critical or dismissive, ask: What part of me feels unsteady right now?Often, judgment is a sign you’re gripping limited certainty instead of standing in curiosity at a widening expanse of options.  Trust yourself and go explore more…

Final Thought (and Invitation…)

Because you are so much more than you’ve believed yourself to be. And your Mercury finger holds proof.

Want to explore more in a live, hands-on experience? We’ll be diving into all this and more—especially in how Mercury shows up in your relationships.

Manifesting Miracles with Mindset

Have you ever stopped to consider the power of your thoughts? What if I told you that the life you’ve always dreamed of is just a mindset shift away? Manifestation isn’t just a buzzword from self-help books or social media reels; it’s a profound spiritual practice grounded in the belief that your thoughts create your reality.

If you’re ready to turn positive thinking into an art form and tap into its powerful ripple effects, keep reading. By the end of this guide, you’ll feel empowered to manifest miracles in your life, starting with a simple thought.

What is Manifestation, Really?

Manifestation is the practice of intentionally attracting what you want into your life through your beliefs, focus, and energy. Think of it like placing an order with the universe. But beware, it’s not as simple as just wishing and waiting. Manifestation requires clarity, aligned actions, and, most importantly, the right mindset.

Here’s where the Law of Attraction comes into play. This spiritual principle suggests that like attracts like. Pour your energy into thoughts of abundance, joy, and success, and those things will naturally gravitate toward you.

But here’s the kicker: positive thinking is the foundation of it all. It’s not just about saying affirmations but truly aligning your mental, emotional, and spiritual energy.

Why a Positive Mindset is the Key to Unlocking Your Dreams

Ever notice how negativity pulls you into a downward spiral? It not only dampens your mood but also limits your ability to spot opportunities or take inspired action. The same way negativity closes doors, positivity can open them.

Here’s why a positive mindset is so potent when it comes to manifestation techniques:

  • Amplifies Your Energy: What you radiate, you attract. Thinking positively shifts your vibration, making you a magnet for the experiences and people aligned with your desires.
  • Builds Resilience: A positive outlook helps you bounce back from setbacks faster, learning from them rather than becoming stuck in fear or frustration.
  • Boosts Clarity: When you’re focused on the potential and the good, your goals come into sharper focus, making your intentions more precise and aligned with your true values.

Manifestation Techniques to Turn Thoughts into Reality

Now that we’ve established the importance of a positive mindset, it’s time to channel that energy into actionable steps. Here are five practical manifestation techniques to get your miracle-making wheels turning:

  1. Get Crystal Clear on What You Want

The universe can’t deliver what you haven’t defined. Write down exactly what you want in specific, vivid detail. Be as clear as possible. Ask yourself:

  • What does my ideal life look like?
  • How will I feel when I get there?

Pro Tip: Focus on the why behind your goals. Rooting your goals in deep purpose amplifies their power.

  1. Visualize Daily

Visualization is like daydreaming but with laser focus. Close your eyes and create a mental movie of your dream life. Picture yourself already living it.

Feel it. Smell it. Hear it. What does joy feel like in that reality? By immersing yourself fully, you start aligning with it emotionally and energetically.

  1. Speak it Into Existence

Your words hold energy. Use affirmations to reinforce your desires and keep your vibration high. Statements like “I am worthy of abundance” or “I attract opportunities that align with my purpose” work wonders.

Tip: Repeat them like you mean it. The conviction is what makes the affirmation sink into your subconscious.

  1. Practice Gratitude

A heart filled with gratitude has no room for lack. Start or end your day by listing three things you’re grateful for. Gratitude shifts your focus from what’s missing to what’s possible. Feeling grateful in advance for what you’re manifesting makes it arrive even faster.

  1. Take Inspired Action

Manifestation isn’t magic; it’s a co-creation with the universe. Pay attention to nudges, gut feelings, and opportunities that align with your goals. Take steps toward your dreams while trusting the universe to meet you halfway.

What Happens When It Feels Like It’s Not Working?

Spoiler alert: manifestation isn’t always a straight line. Sometimes, life throws us curveballs to help us grow before we receive. If it seems like your efforts are stalling:

  • Check Your Energy: Are you clinging to negativity or doubt?
  • Revisit Your Goals: Are they aligned with your authentic self?
  • Surrender Control: Focus on what you can do today and release attachment to when or how it will unfold.

The universe works in its own divine timing, but rest assured, it’s always conspiring in your favor.

Final Thoughts & Your Next Step

Manifestation starts with the belief that you are worthy of your dreams. Combine a positive mindset with clear intentions, take inspired action, and trust the process. Remember, the life you envision is already within reach as soon as you shift your thinking.

Keep believing, keep manifesting, and keep shining. You’ve got this!

Why You’re Here: Embracing Your Sacred Purpose in a Divided World

flower 2“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
Anaïs Nin

Over the last several years, I’ve met and worked with a LOT of people who have started to delve deeper into their lives.  Looking, in many cases, for the first time, into WHY they are here, HOW their life could be more meaningful, more in alignment with the Sacred Contract they have for this lifetime.  People from seemingly every walk of life, gender, orientation, geographic location.

For me, it has been absolutely beautiful to have a chance to interact with them, and perhaps to play some small role in their unfolding, some maybe tour guide role in helping them to navigate their journey.

Even though I serve in that capacity somewhat regularly, I’m finding in my own life a different sense of frustration. Even though I subscribe to the belief that in all things, it will all be fine in the end, and that if in this moment, all things are not fine, it is not the end.

I know this to be true, and that does provide me with some comfort when I view a nation and world that seems more divided, more hate filled than any time in my nearly 72-years of life (this time). 🙂

There is a powerful reason that each one of us has signed up to be who we are, where we are at this exact moment in time.  We each have an important role to play as the evolutionary change that is on the horizon arrives, unfolds, and becomes our new normal.

Hopefully that makes you feel special and important.  Because you are.

While I’m confident that I’m not the only person who struggles to not allow myself to get down in the mud, to work (and allow) myself to stay in alignment with who I believe I came here to be, there are days that not meeting hate with hate is a challenge.

There is good news though.  We do not have to be perfect.  Ever.  Actually, because we are human, perfection is not even on the menu.  So, if in any moment, we do the best we can from where we are, and if we fall short, we forgive ourselves and begin again… it seems that should be enough.

I believe that there have not been many times where it has been more important to hold peace and love in our individual hearts; to create and hold a vision of the world that is possible, where peace and love are the dominant force for everyone.

A world where more and more people remember that there is only US. There is NO THEM.

Often, I’m reminded of the benediction that was a regular part of worship at the church I used to attend.

Go forth into the world in peace.

Be of good courage.

Hold fast that which is good.

Render to no one evil for evil.

Strengthen the fainthearted.

Support the weak.

Help the afflicted.

Show love to everyone.

Love and serve the Lord,

rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit;

and the blessing of almighty God,

the Father, the + Son, and the Holy Spirit,

be among you and remain with you always. Amen.

That seems like wonderful guidance to help me be who I am, who I came here to be.

Please feel free to add it to your guiding principles, if it fits.

What is YOUR Spiritual Practice?

Consistent spiritual practice is an area of my life where I’ve experienced both balance and disconnection. There have been times when I felt aligned—nurturing my connection to Spirit (whether that was the Creator herself, ancestors, guides, or angels). And there have been times when I believed I was failing miserably at life.

There were seasons when, right after making my coffee, I’d retreat to my meditation room to read, write, or meditate with Krishna Das chanting in the background. Then there were stretches—days, weeks, or even months—when none of that happened.

Still, those moments of practice have always offered a space where my too-busy mind could pause, center, connect, and allow.

On the subject of meditation, Sadhguru is famously quoted as saying something like:
“Every day, 30 minutes of meditation—unless you’re extremely busy. Then, one hour.”

Many people assume meditation means sitting cross-legged on a cushion, chanting “Om,” and striving to levitate off the mat. I’m not sure that’s a bad image—but I do believe there are countless other ways to achieve the same outcome. And they absolutely count as meditation.

For me, gardening—especially working in my flower beds—has always been a meditative act. I focus on the beauty and perfection of each plant and flower, while feeling deep gratitude for the Creator who made it possible for me to see them. Having my hands in the dirt grounds me. When I’m aggressively weeding, I’ve found I can release anger, frustration, disconnection… really, whatever I need to let go of. And the earth gladly absorbs it.

But the possibilities are endless! Sitting in the sand, staring in awe at the ocean—or closer to home, Lake Michigan. Letting go of all thought and simply listening to beautiful music.

Just as I see perfection in nature, when I listen to Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, I’m transported to a place of awe and gratitude. In that moment, there is no doubt in my mind about the existence of God. She may not be the version many of us were taught about, but she helped a man—deaf as a stone—create a musical masterpiece that has endured for centuries.

I don’t believe it matters how you reach that quiet place of connection. What matters is that you know you can connect—to Spirit, to the Creator, to the universe—and that what you include in that time is as unique as your own personal relationship with the divine. That connection includes all the beings of light and love on the other side who are eager to inspire you and help however they can.

If you’re considering starting—or expanding—a spiritual practice, here’s what I’d love to remind you:

Perfection is not an option. It’s not even on the menu.

If, like me, you live in a northern climate, there may be a few weeks between mid-December and mid-February when you can walk on water. Any other time? Be prepared to get wet.

It’s never too late to start.

Like everything else in life, you begin where you are and build from there. If five minutes is all you can handle right now, start there. Then gradually stretch to six, seven, ten, fifteen—as your comfort and tolerance grow.

You cannot ask a silly question. You cannot dream too big.

Like every connection, the more familiar you become with it, the easier it gets. The more you practice, the more you trust both the connection and the insights you receive.

Every single moment gives you the chance to begin again.

To help you get started—or go deeper—there are plenty of excellent, free or low-cost meditation apps available. I personally use Insight Timer, but many people I know have found success with other tools.

Just know: there is tremendous personal value in exploring this path.

Nothing bad can happen.

Really.

You Just Never Know!

Quite a few years ago, my daughter, after receiving her bachelor’s degree, joined the Peace Corps. For 27 months, she lived in a small town in Romania where she taught English to schoolchildren, became a part of the community, knitted with the grandmothers, and learned a great deal—not only about the history and culture but, perhaps most powerfully, about herself.

One summer, we traveled to visit her. We flew into Bucharest, where she met us, and we explored Romania together. From there, we took a train to Budapest, spent a few days at the mineral spa in Hévíz, and wrapped up the trip in Vienna before flying home.

It was an absolutely breathtaking trip. After being apart for so long, it was wonderful to spend quality time with my daughter. She served as our tour guide, having researched and selected meaningful places and experiences she felt were “must-sees” in that part of the world. She did an outstanding job.

Among the highlights in Budapest was an art park featuring street art and statues from the Nazi and Soviet-controlled years. These works had been reconstructed and placed in a setting where they could still be studied and remembered, but where they wouldn’t serve as jarring reminders of the atrocities committed during those regimes.

In Vienna, we saw a performance of Mozart’s Requiem in a centuries-old cathedral. The orchestra used only instruments that would have been available in Mozart’s time. Requiem is one of my favorite pieces of music, and seeing it performed in Vienna, on what would have been Mozart’s wedding anniversary, took my breath away.

One of the most powerful places we visited in Budapest was the House of Terror. It’s a memorial and museum dedicated to the victims of the fascist and communist regimes that once occupied Hungary. Outside the building, photographs of those who perished there lined the walls. This was a place where countless people were jailed, interrogated, tortured, and executed. The museum does a remarkable job of preserving and presenting this history as a reminder that we must never allow such horrors to be repeated.

My daughter and her mother are avid readers, and they took in every exhibit deeply. I tend to be more of a big-picture person, so while I absorbed the overall impact and was horrified and moved by the countless innocent lives lost, I eventually told them I was going to find a quiet corner to meditate.

What happened next surprised me deeply. The entire multi-story museum felt overwhelmingly full—not with people, but with the disembodied spirits of those who had died there. I was stunned. Despite the decades that had passed since their deaths, I sensed these souls were still lost, unaware of what had happened to them, or why they were still there. I spent the next hour quietly helping—guiding them toward the light, assisting them in releasing their pain, and showing them the way to a more peaceful, beautiful place.

I had never experienced anything like it. It amazed me that I, an American visiting Hungary, could be part of something like that. The gratitude I felt from those souls was overwhelming. They were so appreciative that someone had finally noticed them—someone who could understand and help.

Because the experience was so unusual and outside the norm, I didn’t talk about it with many people. I didn’t want anyone to think I’d lost my mind.

However, I did share the story with a few close friends who share a similar spiritual outlook. They weren’t nearly as surprised as I was, and that gave me some comfort—maybe I wasn’t completely crazy after all.

Then, months later—though I can’t recall exactly how long—a friend from Arizona called me out of the blue. The first thing she said was, “Oh my God! I saw you in Budapest, Hungary, last night!” She described a dream she had where we were working together in the same place I had visited. She had no prior knowledge of what I had experienced, yet what she described matched my experience so closely, it gave me chills. It felt like confirmation that what had happened was real.

Because most of my ancestry is German, I’ve always felt a pull—maybe even a need—to visit the concentration camps in Germany and Poland where millions of people were exterminated. It’s entirely possible I had ancestors or relatives involved on the wrong side of that history. I’ve often wondered if I would encounter similar spiritual congestion there—disembodied souls, lost and confused, needing help to move on.

Over the years, my understanding of how things work has evolved. I now believe I could do this kind of work remotely—without having to physically visit those places. Maybe it’s time I refocus my efforts and explore that possibility.

When I felt drawn to write this post, I questioned my motivation. It’s not about drawing attention to myself or saying, “Look how special I am.” It’s about shining a light for you, the reader—to remind you that we never really know what we’re going to encounter. We don’t always know what role we’re meant to play or what impact we might have on the greater world.

So I encourage you: reflect on your own experiences. Keep your eyes and heart open. Be willing to engage—whether with fellow humans, with the four-legged and winged beings who share the Earth with us, or with those who have already crossed into spirit. Someone, somewhere, may need your help in ways you never imagined.

The possibilities are endless.

Happy hunting.

Cultivating Your Intuition

No matter what you call it – a hunch, a gut feeling – you have intuition. And you can make it stronger and more reliable. Even if you think you can’t.

First: How do you tell if something is from your intuition, or from your thinking? If you’re chewing on something, it’s your thinking. If it’s running through your mind on a loop, it’s your thinking. If it falls into your head, it’s probably from your intuition. If you “hear” it, it’s your
intuition. If you hear your name first, it’s definitely your intuition talking, and not your brain.

Next: How can you make it stronger? An easy way to strengthen your connection is to act on simple impulses. When an idea falls into your head out of nowhere, act on it.

Say you are driving and get the urge to turn down a street that wasn’t on your planned route. You might end up passing a place that ends up being exactly where you need to be. One woman who did this passed a store she hadn’t thought about in a long time and decided to
stop in. One step inside and she started laughing. The front was filled with vases of her late mother’s favorite flower.

If someone crosses your mind, send them a text (or wait to hear from them; you might be receiving an early warning signal).

Even more powerful: say you get a nudge to do something that makes no sense. As long as it doesn’t hurt you, give it a try and see what happens.

One more method: when you are contemplating doing something, notice how you feel in your core or the pit of your stomach. Feel excited? Do it. Feel tight or constricted? Or anxious? Plow through at your risk. Your intuition is warning you not to, and if you go ahead you will likely regret it – even if logically the action made sense.

In each of these instances, by acting on the impulse, or honoring the signal, you are sending your intuition the message that you trust it. The more you act on it, the stronger its messages will become. And the stronger the messages are, the more important and useful they are.

Making this easier for all of us, the cosmos is firing up everyone’s intuition for the next decade and a half. The energy comes from the planet that represents our connection to spirit, Neptune, traveling through the sign of Aries from spring 2025 into the late 2030s.

From 2011 to early 2025 Neptune was in its home waters of Pisces, dissolving perceptions of reality and immersing us in universal connectedness and confusion. In Aries it is igniting raw force, sending impulsive and instinctive energy from our core through our beings and triggering unpremeditated and bold action.

We are in for an epidemic of impulses catching fire and inspiring action. Notice how boldly you are navigating life these days. Your own innate connection to spirit, to source, to your intuition or knowing is guiding you. Trust it. Let it lead you to the next stage of your adventure.
