Is Your Home Energetically Healthy or Sick? A Psychic’s Guide to Residual Energy

Real estate: Is your home energetically healthy or sick?

home sweet homeAs a home buyer, you spend an enormous amount of time looking for the perfect home. Maybe it’s been remodeled exactly to your liking, or it is an amazing bargain. You even hire a certified home inspector to ensure you’re buying a safe and sound home for your family. Everything looks great to push the green light to buy that house; but wait – not so fast…

As an Evidential Medium and Psychic, I’ve spent many years being a leading paranormal expert and haunting consultant for many of the most haunted places in the United States. Residual paranormal activity stems not from active spirits that may be earthbound and have their own reasons for staying but instead solely comes from the previous occupant’s emotions and state of health at passing. That energy then gets absorbed within the walls, ceilings and floors.

What is imprinted residual energy?

The type of energy that is in your home either lifts you up or tears you down. Every negative word, action, illness, divorce, bankruptcy, mental disorder and manner of passing is absorbed into the walls, ceilings and floors of house. It’s like dirty sponges you can’t see but I assure you that sometimes you can feel this residual energy when you first walk into a prospective home. This phenomenon is echoes of the past playing over and over again.  Have you ever walked through the door of a house for sale and immediately wanted to turn around and walk out? If you have, congratulations, you felt the imprinted energy and did the right thing by leaving. But what if you don’t recognize that the home you’re buying is one big dirty sponge?

Why you should pass on houses where previous occupants experienced health issues or mental illness:

The body when sick is very vulnerable to negative, intelligent spirits.  I was asked to energetically inspect the home of a client whose mother had a terminal illness.  The sickly mom was living with the client and the entire family experienced strange activity inside the home. When I arrived, an invisible hand pulled my hair from behind. And I’m not talking about a gentle tug; my head jerked backwards with the force of a whiplash. I was not happy to say the least. This also applies to such conditions as Asperger’s and Autism.  Any emotional and physical vulnerability can attract intelligent negative spirits before manifesting into unintelligent residual energy within the house. Whatever is happening in the present will be felt and heard after the previous owners are long gone.

How does the previous homeowner’s negative residual energy affect yours and your families and health and psyche?

  • As the months pass in your new home, are you having more arguments between you, your spouse or other family members?
  • Are you feeling more fatigued than you ever have before?
  • Did you develop autoimmune diseases despite being declared healthy prior to moving into your new home?
  • Is any household member feeling sudden bouts of depression and anxiety that you didn’t experience prior to moving in house?
  • Do you hear knocks inside the walls that can’t be explained?

Residual energy is purely ramped up electromagnetic fields (EMF) that build up like a volcano.  It must have somewhere to disperse, hence the knocking sounds.

I’ll share a few simple methods to help clear the residual energy in your new or existing home.

Palm to wall method:

palm on wall
Place both palms of hands on each wall of every room and thank the home for accepting you. Then with true intention in your own words, remove
and release every emotion, action and health history of previous occupants back to the Universe. This allows you to then imprint your own history to the house.

Onyx to Amythest method:

amethyst onyx
Starting with the top
Left Corner of front door (only inside of door) attach an Amethyst Stone either by glue or whatever method of attaching you prefer. At upper Right Corner of door attach an Onyx Stone. Move to the bottom Left Corner of door and attach an Onyx Stone and finish with attaching an Amethyst Stone to the Right Corner. This is an amazing method to raise the vibration and cleansing flow of your home.

We all try our best to keep our bodies clean and free of negative energy so why wouldn’t we do same for our home? After all, our home should always be our main sanctuary. If you find yourself needing a spiritual real estate consultant, please feel free to contact me.

Jump Start Any Tarot Deck

You can jump start a connection with any Tarot deck, no matter how far it wanders from the old Rider-Waite-Smith tradition.
The next time you succumb to dazzling illustrations or a favorite theme, before you head for the companion booklet (or scan a QR code to read it online), give your intuition a chance to dive into the deck.

Before shuffling for the first time, scan the entire deck in sequence. What’s the creator’s intention? What’s your visual reaction? Your emotional? The design and aesthetic will give a sense of its vibe and point of view.

Start with a simple three card pull – past, present and future, for example, or body, mind and spirit. Look at the cards as a unit. Does anything connect them visually? How do they make you feel?

Look at the colors. Does the same color appear on more than one card? How? What do the colors connect?

Do the same thing with objects and buildings.

Look at the figures. What are they doing? Look at their postures. What direction are they facing? Is one facing the past? Facing you? Facing the future? If you look at them in a row, could you see them as interacting with each other?

What’s going on in the left card? In the middle card? In the right one? What is the visual progression from the left card to the middle to the right?

Now spin that progression into a story line. How is the past leading to the present to the future? Or how are body, mind and spirit working together (or not)?

This approach sets up a connection between your intuition and the deck. It’s not a substitute for mastering the cards’ traditional meanings, or for reading up on the deck creator’s interpretations. But it will enhance you. See if it doesn’t carry over as you move on to more elaborate spreads. Have fun with it!

Cleansing and Aligning Your Spirit for a Fresh Start

As we welcome the new year, many of us are looking for ways to reset our energy and align more deeply with our spiritual purpose. One powerful tool to support this renewal process is the use of crystals. These natural formations have been revered for centuries for their energetic properties, helping to cleanse, protect, and align our spirit with the vibrations we want to manifest. Whether you’re new to crystals or looking to expand your collection, here are some of the best stones to work with as you enter the new year.

  1. Clear Quartz: Amplifying Intentions and Clarity

Clear Quartz is often known as the “master healer” because it can be programmed with any intention you wish to set. This crystal is perfect for the start of a new year because it amplifies your thoughts and desires, helping you manifest what you want in the months ahead. It’s also fantastic for gaining clarity on what you truly want, cutting through the noise of external influences. To use Clear Quartz effectively, hold it during meditation and visualize your goals for the year. Allow its energy to amplify your intentions, helping you align with your highest potential.

  1. Black Tourmaline: Grounding and Protection

The new year often brings with it a desire to release old patterns and energies that no longer serve us. Black Tourmaline is an excellent crystal for grounding and protection, making it a powerful ally for letting go of negativity. If you’ve been feeling drained or overwhelmed, working with this stone can help cleanse your aura, shielding you from unwanted energies. I recommend keeping a piece of Black Tourmaline near your front door or work area to maintain a clear and protected space as you embark on new beginnings.

  1. Amethyst: Connecting to Higher Guidance

Amethyst is a wonderful crystal for deepening your connection to your intuition and spiritual guides. Its calming, high-frequency energy is perfect for those who are looking to enhance their spiritual practice in the new year. Amethyst can assist with meditation, dream work, and accessing the Akashic records, which can provide insights into your soul’s path. By placing Amethyst on your nightstand or under your pillow, you can encourage clearer dreams and intuitive downloads. This crystal helps you align more deeply with your spiritual journey, making it easier to receive messages from the universe.

  1. Citrine: Manifesting Abundance and Joy

Citrine is known as the “stone of abundance,” radiating positive energy that attracts wealth, joy, and success. It’s a perfect crystal for setting intentions around financial growth or personal happiness for the year ahead. Citrine doesn’t hold onto negativity, so it doesn’t need to be cleansed often. To work with Citrine, place it in your wallet, on your desk, or in any area where you want to welcome abundance. Its vibrant energy will help lift your spirits, bringing an optimistic outlook as you pursue your goals.

  1. Selenite: Cleansing and Raising Vibrations

Selenite is one of the best crystals for clearing away stagnant energy and raising your vibration. It has a pure, white light that connects you to higher realms, making it ideal for aligning with spirit and setting your intentions for the year. Selenite is also self-cleansing, and it can cleanse other crystals too. Simply placing a Selenite wand near your workspace or on an altar can help maintain a high-vibrational environment. I personally love to use Selenite in my spiritual practice to create a sacred, clear space before doing intuitive readings or connecting with spirit.

  1. Labradorite: Embracing Transformation and New Beginnings

Labradorite is a crystal of transformation, making it a powerful stone to work with as you embark on a new year filled with change and potential. It enhances your spiritual awareness, deepens your connection to your inner wisdom, and encourages you to embrace the unknown with confidence. Labradorite is perfect for those who are stepping into new roles, projects, or ways of being. Meditating with this crystal can help you navigate the transitions ahead with grace, opening your mind to unexpected possibilities.

Using Crystals for New Year Rituals

To get the most out of these crystals, consider creating a ritual to welcome the new year. For instance, on New Year’s Eve or the first new moon of January, you can cleanse your space with Selenite and then set your intentions with Clear Quartz. Holding Amethyst during meditation can help you connect to spiritual guidance, while Black Tourmaline can protect your energy as you step forward into new endeavors.

A simple but powerful way to use these crystals is to create a crystal grid, arranging them in a pattern that reflects your intentions for the year. Place the grid in a central space in your home or on your altar to continuously infuse your environment with the energy of your chosen stones.

By working with these crystals, you can begin the new year aligned, grounded, and ready to manifest your soul’s desires. As we enter this fresh chapter, may these stones serve as your allies, helping you cleanse the past, set new intentions, and align more fully with the spirit of who you are becoming.

Starting the New Year on a Higher Spiritual Frequency: Embrace Renewal and Transformation

Starting the new year with a fresh spiritual frequency is more than just setting resolutions or creating new routines. It’s about making an intentional shift that aligns your inner self with the energy you want to embody for the year ahead. This process can be deeply transformative, allowing you to enter the new year not just with hope, but with a renewed sense of self. Here’s how to set yourself up for that shift, along with an example of how I practice this in my own life and through my work.

  1. Reflect and Release

The first step is to reflect on the past year. Spend time recognizing what worked, what didn’t, and—most importantly—what lessons came out of your experiences. Spiritual renewal is not about ignoring or erasing the past, but rather acknowledging it and then letting go of what no longer serves you. This can be done through journaling, meditation, or even a simple visualization where you imagine yourself releasing old patterns, beliefs, or situations like leaves falling away from a tree.

For me, this process is tied to my past experiences and the spiritual lessons I’ve learned along the way. One key part of my journey was recognizing how certain relationships drained me because I allowed them to operate on their terms instead of mine. Reflecting on that period in my life, where I was caught in a dynamic with someone who only reached out when it was convenient for them, showed me how vital it is to set boundaries and reclaim my power. Once I became aware of how much I was compromising my own well-being, I consciously released those patterns. It was empowering and opened up new, healthier connections that aligned better with my energy.

  1. Set Intentions, Not Resolutions

Intentions are different from resolutions. Resolutions tend to focus on external achievements or goals, whereas intentions are about aligning with your soul’s desires. When setting intentions, ask yourself: “How do I want to feel this year?” “What energy do I want to embody?” Focus on the quality of life you want to create rather than fixating on specific outcomes.

In my work with Intuitive Edge, I guide clients to access these deeper layers of themselves. For instance, I often help people connect to their own inner knowing through intuitive readings. A powerful way I support them in renewing their spiritual frequency is by showing them how to access their own Akashic records. There is a common misconception that only certain individuals can access these records, but I believe that anyone can learn to tap into this wisdom. By teaching clients how to connect with their records, they gain insight into their soul’s journey, which can be incredibly liberating and help them set authentic, soul-aligned intentions.

  1. Engage in Rituals that Ground Your Intentions

Rituals are a powerful way to anchor new intentions and spiritual frequencies. This could be lighting candles, using crystals, or even creating a vision board that symbolizes what you want to manifest. Personally, I find that incorporating rituals around the new moon is particularly powerful, as it is a time of new beginnings.

In my own practice, I’ve developed a ritual that combines visualization, energy work, and intention-setting to clear away the old and welcome the new. One example of this is using guided visualization to reconnect with past lives. For me, my past life as a witch who was burned alive held trauma that needed to be acknowledged and transformed. By confronting that fear in this life and understanding its influence on my current patterns, I was able to break free from a subconscious cycle of suppression and fear of visibility.

  1. Embrace New Experiences and Knowledge

Spiritual renewal is also about opening yourself to new experiences and knowledge. This could mean learning about a new spiritual practice, exploring different forms of meditation, or simply allowing yourself to follow your curiosity wherever it may lead. Growth often comes from the willingness to step into the unknown, trusting that what you’re drawn to is what your soul needs at this moment.

In my readings and consultations, I encourage people to listen to their intuition and explore whatever sparks their curiosity. Sometimes, a single nudge to explore something new can lead to a profound breakthrough. I’ve seen clients go from feeling stuck and confused to experiencing powerful transformations, simply by allowing themselves to embrace new perspectives.

  1. Trust Your Own Process

Finally, trust that your path is unique to you. There’s no right or wrong way to approach spiritual renewal. What works for one person might not work for another, and that’s okay. The important thing is to stay true to what resonates with you.

This is something I emphasize in all my work. Whether it’s teaching clients to access their Akashic records or guiding them through intuitive readings, I hold space for them to discover their own truths. It’s never about imposing a set way of doing things but rather empowering others to trust their own inner wisdom. When we connect to our intuition and trust our spiritual path, we align with a frequency that is truly ours, allowing us to step into the new year with clarity, confidence, and joy.

By embracing these practices, you can start the new year on a higher spiritual frequency, ready to manifest what truly aligns with your soul.

Turning Pain into Purpose – A Journey of Healing and Transformation

Pain is an inevitable part of our human experience, but how we respond to it can profoundly shape our lives. Is this happening to me, or is this happening for me (now pause reading here, go and look into a mirror, place hands on the hips, and embrace that strong, Superhero pose as we decide our focus on the pain either as a victim of life or the owner of it)? Many individuals worldwide and throughout history have discovered that suffering can catalyze personal growth, healing, strength, and transformation. By reframing pain as an opportunity for purpose, we can find meaning in our struggles and use them to fuel our passions. “The greatest illusion of this world is the illusion of separation. Things you think are separate and different are actually one and the same.” -Guru Pathik.

While pain is a universal experience for everyone who has ever lived, its impact will always vary from person to person. By embracing our suffering and transforming it into purpose, we can create meaningful change in our lives, the lives of others, and this amazing world we all share. This transformation journey, though challenging, holds the potential for profound personal growth and fulfillment. Ultimately, our pain can become a powerful narrative that defines our purpose and inspires those around us.

Understanding Pain:

Pain can manifest in physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual forms. It often serves as a signal that something is wrong, prompting us to take action. While it can be debilitating, pain also has the potential to teach us valuable lessons about resilience, compassion, empathy, and the human condition. We should accept our feelings and experiences without judgment and or opinion. Understanding our brain and heart pain is the first step toward acceptance, healing, and transformation.

Finding Our Purpose:

Channel energy. Use the energy from our pain to fuel our passions and discover a new purpose in life. Whether through art, writing, dancing, plant medicines, meditation, yoga, hiking, volunteering, or advocacy, channeling our feelings into creative outlets can bring a sense of purpose, healing, and transformation! Transforming pain into purpose often involves setting new goals. These can be related to personal development, career aspirations, or social impact. Having a clear direction can provide motivation and focus, and setting clear, attainable goals can give us a sense of purpose.

Practice self-compassion. Be kind to yourself during this change process. Understand that healing takes time and that it’s okay to feel vulnerable. Life is not a sprint but a marathon, and as Mr. Mark Twain reminds us, “Do not regret growing older. It is a privilege denied to many.” Embracing self-compassion is a crucial part of this journey, allowing us to navigate the challenges with grace and a positive mindset.

Embrace change and engage in deviational mindfulness. Understand that our journey will evolve as we do and as life does. Stay open and flexible to new passions, inspirations, and purposes that may arise as we heal. Practices like meditation, qigong, breathwork, and yoga can help us stay in the present moment while reducing anxiety, depression, and stress related to past pain and the fast changes taking place in the material world. We soon learn that the only constant in life is that of change, so we work to keep up with the waves of change vs. being underneath them.

Celebrate small wins and stay committed. Acknowledge progress, no matter how small. Celebrating achievements can enhance our motivation, healing, and transformations and reinforce our sense of purpose. Turning our pain into passion is a journey, not a destination. Stay committed to growth, be patient, and allow that grace and self-compassion to flow daily. Each small step forward is a reason to celebrate and a reminder of our resilience and strength.

Reflection. Take time to reflect on our pain. Take the time to disconnect to make the time to reconnect. It will help give us perspective on the pain through Reflection, acceptance, and surrender to the power of purpose. What specific life experiences have shaped us? Better said, we are the sum of all our life experiences and the lessons we have learned all along the way. Journaling can be helpful for life’s toolbox in this process, as it provides a record of growth and transformation from our past. Journaling can also help us articulate our feelings. Write about the pain, its meaning, and how it has affected our lives.

Connect with others. Sharing our experiences can foster connection and understanding. Support groups, forums, or conversations with family, friends, and yes, even our fur babies can provide a sense of community, connection, and validation as we “prospect” through our pain. Connecting with others who have experienced similar pain can be empowering. Consider joining support groups or online communities.

Inspiring real-world examples:

Many influential figures have turned their pain into purpose. Ms. Oprah Winfrey, for instance, overcame a traumatic childhood to become a leading voice in self-improvement and empowerment. Similarly, Ms. J.K. Rowling faced numerous rejections before publishing the Harry Potter series, inspiring millions worldwide. Mr. Nick Vujicic, born without arms and legs, overcame immense challenges and is now a motivational speaker and author known to many around the globe for his purpose, inspiration, and tenacity.

The Power of Reframing:

Reframing is a psychological technique that involves changing how we perceive a situation. Instead of viewing pain as a negative experience, we can see it as a stepping stone toward growth. This shift in perspective allows us to extract valuable insights from our suffering, which can inform our future choices and actions. Dr. Wayne Dyer reminds us, “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

Mr. Tony Robbins grew up in an unstable household. Tony faced years of financial struggles and personal challenges, but instead of giving up and giving in, Tony turned his negative experiences into a career and purpose as a motivational speaker and life coach who has helped millions achieve personal and financial freedom. Ms. Brené Brown, known as a researcher and author in the work of vulnerability and shame, shares her struggles and pain through her popular TED talks and books to inspire others to embrace their imperfections and live authentically with purpose. Their stories remind us that pain can be the precursor to extraordinary achievements, purpose, healing, and transformation that can change not only our lives but the lives of others!

“The soul is placed in the body like a rough diamond and must be polished, or the luster of it will never appear.” – Daniel Defoe.

Please keep going, living, and “prospecting” daily for that diamond deep within the soul and the many beautiful gems of healing, inspiration, encouragement, motivation, and transformation our world will reveal in time! It is now time to turn that pain into purpose, or as the old adage goes, what doesn’t kill us only makes us stronger! We got this and can do it together to turn that pain into purpose.

Consider sharing those painful experiences with others who can relate and listen, such as trained experts, counselors, mentors, or life coaches. This can be therapeutic and healing and inspire those going through similar struggles and pain. By actively engaging in these practices above, we can transform our pain into a meaningful purpose that enriches our lives and the lives of others. “You have power over your mind–not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.”

–Marcus Aurelius.

Recognize & Resolve Your Personal Blocks

Have you ever felt like you’re stuck in a rut and can’t seem to move forward in life? It’s a common feeling that many of us experience at some point. But what if I told you that the key to unlocking your potential lies in identifying and working on your personal blocks?

Personal blocks are the limiting beliefs, fears, and negative patterns that hold us back from reaching our full potential. These blocks can stem from past experiences, societal conditioning, or even our own self-doubt. But the good news is that they can be overcome with a little bit of introspection and spiritual work.

One of the first steps in identifying your personal blocks is to take a closer look at your thoughts and behaviors. Are there recurring patterns that seem to be holding you back? Do you find yourself self-sabotaging or doubting your abilities? These are all signs that there may be some deeper issues at play.

Once you’ve identified your personal blocks, it’s time to start working on them spiritually. This can involve practices such as meditation, journaling, or working with a spiritual healer or therapist. By delving into the root causes of your blocks, you can begin to release them and create space for new, positive energy to flow in.

Another important aspect of working on your personal blocks is to practice self-love and compassion. It’s easy to be hard on ourselves when we feel stuck or stagnant, but it’s important to remember that we are all works in progress. By treating ourselves with kindness and understanding, we can start to break down the barriers that are holding us back.

Ultimately, the key to moving forward in life lies in facing our personal blocks head-on and doing the inner work necessary to overcome them. By taking the time to identify and work on our limiting beliefs and fears, we can start to cultivate a sense of empowerment and create the life we truly desire.

So if you’re feeling stuck or held back in any area of your life, take some time to explore your personal blocks and start working on them spiritually. You deserve to live a life that is full of joy, abundance, and fulfillment – and by releasing your personal blocks, you can start to make that a reality.

The Diamonds of Being Alone

Being alone is often misunderstood and stigmatized in our society. Many people associate being alone with loneliness and isolation, but it is essential to recognize that being alone can be a valuable and enriching experience. This article will explore the art of being alone, its benefits, and how to cultivate a healthy relationship with solitude.

  1. Embracing Solitude:

Being alone allows us to reconnect with ourselves and explore our thoughts and emotions. It will enable us to step away from the distractions and noise of the world and focus on our own needs and desires. Embracing solitude can lead to self-discovery, personal growth, and a deeper understanding of ourselves.

  1. Reflection and Self-Discovery:

We have the space and time to reflect on our lives, goals, and values when alone. This introspection can lead to self-discovery and a better understanding of who we are, allowing us to identify our strengths and weaknesses and make choices and decisions that align with our authentic selves.

  1. Creative Expression:

Being alone can also foster creativity and innovation. It provides the freedom to explore new ideas, engage in artistic pursuits, and experiment with different forms of self-expression. Many great artists, writers, and thinkers have credited their periods of solitude as crucial to their creative process.

  1. Independence and Self-Reliance:

Spending time alone can help develop a sense of independence and self-reliance. When alone, we learn to rely on ourselves for companionship, entertainment, and problem-solving. This can lead to increased self-confidence and a greater sense of empowerment.

  1. Mindfulness and Inner Peace:

Being alone in our fast-paced and constantly connected world allows us to slow down and cultivate mindfulness. It provides an opportunity to be fully present in the moment, to observe our thoughts and emotions without judgment, and to find inner peace and tranquility. Mindfulness practice has been shown to reduce stress, enhance well-being, and improve overall mental health.

  1. Building Meaningful Connections:

Being comfortable with being alone can enhance our ability to form meaningful connections with others. When secure in our own company, we are less likely to seek validation and fulfillment from external sources. This allows us to enter into relationships from a place of authenticity and independence, fostering deeper connections and healthier dynamics.

In Conclusion:

Being alone is not something to be feared or avoided but rather an art to be embraced and cultivated. It provides us with an opportunity for self-discovery, creativity, independence, and mindfulness. By learning to appreciate and enjoy our company, we can build a stronger sense of self, foster personal growth, and cultivate meaningful connections with others. So, let us not shy away from solitude but instead embrace it as a valuable and enriching experience.

Preparing & Maintaining Your Energy Health This Holiday Season

During the holidays, it’s common to be around a lot of people and in many different environments. While this can be fun and festive, it can also leave you feeling drained and overwhelmed if you’re not careful about protecting your energy. Here are some tips for keeping your aura clean and avoiding taking on psychic energy from others during the holidays:

Set boundaries:

Before attending events or spending time with others, set clear boundaries for yourself. Decide what you’re willing and able to give of your time and energy and communicate that to others. Catch yourself if you are “people pleasing”.

Prepare with visualization before you go to the gathering:

See the event in your mind ahead of time, and actively place positive and protective energies around the space you will be in. A restaurant, or a person’s home, or your own home if that is where the gathering is going to be. I personally use angels on every corner of the property, and inside in all corners of the space. I ask that they continuously clear the space from any negative lower frequencies that may be there. I then ask that the doorways be cleared and guarded with pure light, so any negative energies are purified as people walk through them. This is called treating or setting the space ahead of time. Then, when I walk into the gathering, I know I am walking into ease, light, joy, and positive energy for the time there. If angels don’t work for you, use a body of light with colors you like, or power animals or spirit guides and loved ones on the other side, or fairies and elementals. I have a friend who calls in the Divine Creator to do this protection, and Jesus. It just depends on what truly resonates with you.

Protect yourself:

Visualize yourself surrounded by a protective bubble of light that shields you from negative energy. You can also carry protective crystals like black tourmaline or amethyst or wear a piece of jewelry that has special meaning to you. If you find yourself “cornered” by someone who is an energy vampire, talking “at” you instead of with you, and by so doing is literally filling themselves up with your energy as you listen to them, simply place a hand on your solar plexus to “shield” yourself from the energy cording the other person is doing to you. At the same time imagine the energy from them that is going into you draining right out your feet and into the Earth. Energy cords are cords of psychic energy that get created through (unconscious or conscious) emotions.  We can give and take these cords of energy from others all the time all day long as we move about and interact with life. When there is a strong emotion in an interaction, the cords will be stronger and feel more obvious.

Practice mindfulness:

Stay present in the moment and pay attention to how you’re feeling. If you notice yourself becoming overwhelmed or drained, take a break and do something that helps you feel grounded, like deep breathing or meditation

Clear your energy:

Take time each day to clear any negative energy from your aura. You can do this by smudging with sage or palo santo, taking a salt bath, spending some time out in nature, breathing in fresh air, or practicing visualization techniques.

Surround yourself with positive people:

Seek out relationships with people who uplift and inspire you and avoid those who drain your energy or bring negativity into your life.

Eat sensibly and somewhat cleanly:

Be mindful of the sugar, alcohol and dairy you are consuming, and the quantities of such. Moderation is key!

By incorporating these practices into your daily routine, you’ll be better equipped to protect your energy and maintain a clean aura during the holidays and beyond.

The Happiness Journey of Joy and Being Present in a Crazy, Chaotic and Negative World

Have we ever encountered someone filled with pure joy and happiness? We know it, not just because we see and witness it, but because we can feel it and the incredible energy radiating around that person! How is this even possible? What is their secret? How did they gain such knowledge and wisdom to become, apply, and radiate such joy and happiness? The happiness journey of joy and being is what many of us strive and “prospect” for in search of becoming gentler, kind, compassionate, light-hearted, having an attitude of gratitude, or going through life with that happy-go-lucky state of mind while enjoying this amazing life journey, not just as humans, but as humans being! Joy is not something to be faked and does not come from outside of us; it comes from within and can be seen and felt across a vast room. So how do such people develop such traits of joy and happiness, and how can we be more aware of the joy, happiness, and the art and application of being joyful?

Practice Stop Complaining! Joyful people have daily practice and dedication, spending their valuable time not complaining. The journey of both joy and being in the present moment will raise energy to a more positive experience, where constant complaining about our lives or the material world around us brings down the energy to a more negative impression, a feeling of dread or gloom and can be bad behavior, trait, and human habit for the health of our cells, our nervous system, our heart and mind, which responds directly to our thoughts, words, and actions.

People who are happy and radiate joy very often first look inward and focus on that inner voice, the higher self, the ego, the self-sabotage, and the one person we talk to the most in life, ourselves! Then, after a brief conversation with themselves, people who have joy and radiate happiness will turn their focus, attention, and awareness outward to the material world and shift the synergy and mindset with all positive aspects of daily life and all positive aspects of daily living and the human experience. What was the good in our day? Only we can decide that. When directly impacted by adversity and the negativity that life can bring forward to all of us, move or shift to both awareness of that feeling around, breathe in deeply, practice a pause, alter, or become mindful, and move away from such thoughts, people, conversations and or groups. As the old saying reminds us, “misery loves company,” so do yourself a huge and healthy favor, create distance, create boundaries, create mindfulness, and actively move away from those thoughts, people, and life situations because it is draining, exhausting and not a great combination for the journey towards joy and happiness. It takes away, distracts, and disconnects us from all the good around us.

It is okay, natural, and part of being a human being to claim, speak, know, and acknowledge that we cannot be filled with joy and happiness every minute of the day, especially in this crazy, chaotic, and fast-moving world of ours, but if we look close enough and make a consciousness choice with our most significant power given to each human being of freewill, joy, and happiness are all around. We need to know when, where, and how to access, acknowledge, accept, blend, and become a good host filled with joy, happiness, and all that comes with it daily. “The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.” -William Arthur Ward.

Practice Gratitude! The main difference between those who radiate joy and happiness and those stuck in a hostile and low vibrational state of being is that those who have joy and happiness express daily gratitude and create habits for an “attitude for gratitude” daily. There is no need to wait until December 31st to make this a new resolution; make that resolution today, right now, because that is all the time we ever have, and at the end of this day, we are another day older, and time is the one thing that money cannot buy. Look for the “magic in the moments,” the delicious food, a warm shower, a great cup of coffee and conversation with a stranger, a nice sweater, a friendly smile, a lending hand, a sunrise, a sunset, or even both on the same day! Gratitude daily can be endless and vast, and those who choose to live in this state of being will naturally carry a higher vibration of what we put out, we get back or said another way, like attracts like, or as the great Jedi Master, Qui-Gon Jinn from the Star Wars movie reminds us “concentrate on the moment. Feel, do not think. Use your instincts. Always remember, your focus determines your reality.” Joy and happiness are formulas just waiting to be discovered if we choose to look, know where to look, and apply that formula to everyday life.

Practice Being Present! Those searching for joy and happiness are in the present moment and do not run or turn away. Joyous and happy people look for the good in their present moments and journey, even if they disagree with the material world around them and what their eyes are showing them. People filled with joy and happiness in a wild and hostile world will continually be shifting their state of mind to focus on the good things in life, the beauty of life, the gratitude for having this day in life and connecting with the actual, profound, and positive aspects that only this life can bring us. One must make this a conscious choice, a daily decision, a daily dedication, a daily discipline, and a daily goal with determination, ambition, focus, and an applied mindset to live in the present moment and not sit and marinate back to a negative mindset which can be very easy to do if we choose to let it.

According to the teachings and philosophy of Master Buddhist Thich Nhat Hanh, lessons remind us that in order to achieve acceptance, we need to start embracing the present moment and the beautiful miracles that exist all around us.  “When we are mindful, deeply in touch with the present moment, our understanding of what is going on deepens, and we begin to be filled with acceptance, joy, peace, and love. Around us, life bursts with miracles–a glass of water, a ray of sunshine, a leaf, a caterpillar, a flower, laughter, and raindrops. If you live in awareness, it is easy to see miracles everywhere. Each human being is a multiplicity of miracles. Eyes that see thousands of colors, shapes, and forms; ears that hear a bee flying or a thunderclap; a brain that ponders a speck of dust as easily as the entire cosmos; a heart that beats in rhythm with the heartbeat of all beings. When we are tired and feel discouraged by life’s daily struggles, we may not notice these miracles, but they are always there.”

Practice Selfcare! Instead of filling our minds and oversaturating our nervous system with negative thoughts, people, conversations, situations, social media, or bad human habits that take away from the journey of joy and happiness, take time to tune in to all that makes us happy and get an excellent addition to that new joy, happiness, and being. Joyous people are first kind to themselves, taking each day from the wake-up alarm in the morning until the head hits the pillow after a very positive, uplifting day we can choose to acknowledge, accept, and have if we do want it. Please start each new day with mental exercises, meditation, positive mantras, deep breathwork, journaling, Qigong, yoga, and deep breathwork to channel and move negative thoughts out, only to be replaced with responsibility for positive self-care, mental well-being, and healthy habits to help guide us to joy, happiness, and being. Start today to become the best and most positive version of ourselves.

Practice Acceptance! Joyous and happy people accept their circumstances, people around them, material world events, and situations they know and realize they cannot control. The only control one ever has is how to respond or not respond to the many twists and turns offered on the pathway of L.I.F.E. or, put another way, Learn It From Experience. There is no point in focusing and fixating on the things outside their control and wasting energy and time that can be allocated and used to something, someone, or someplace that can bring joy and happiness, even that little corner of our minds. People filled with joy and happiness accept what the past has taught them and what the present moment can give them and be at peace with life’s decisions. Acceptance will also offer us a broader perspective on the journey and with the practice of not complaining, being present, and gratitude, acceptance will change. Acceptance is a process. They allow things in and around our life paths without actively trying to change them. Acceptance entails letting any experience or “Soul Adventure,” positive, neutral, or negative, exist in life without trying to alter, avoid, or deny it. “Acceptance…is an expression of lived wisdom.” –Jon Kabat-Zinn.

Practice Compassion! It is often the case that people filled with joy, happiness, and a sense of being have a greater awareness and sense of kindness, compassion, and caring for others. When someone is joyous, they do not dwell on how rubbish their life is, what the future holds negatively, or how miserable they might be in the present moment. Instead, they look for the good at that moment, the day, tune in to how they feel about themselves and life, and share that with others, often having more to give! Joyous people can generally carry out more acts of kindness and compassion for others. These do not have to be grand big gestures – they can be small acts of kindness, such as making someone a cup of coffee, helping a person across the street, smiling at a stranger on the bus, or just a phone call or text to express our love for others. Joyous people know that it does not cost anything to be kind. They know that they do not drain their resources by being kind, caring, and compassionate to others.

Practice Looking for the Best in Others! Joyful people develop habits and communication styles that look for good and positive aspects in others. Put another way, joyous and happy people do not try to find what is wrong and a negative aspect with another human being. Instead, they find what they like, what they may have in common, and what is worth their time and investment to acknowledge, support, and even celebrate another person. Now, of course, there will always be exceptions to the rule when people may be rude, outright nasty, entitled, and selfish, but for the most part, joyous and happy people do manage to find something positive about that person and stay with that energy, frequency, and vibration as to not become or marinate in looking for the bad or negative in another but something more positive, uplifting and inspiring with that person. Joyous, happy, and present people have developed a strong and dedicated habit of “finding the good in the day,” this extends to situations, life experiences, relationships, careers, and everything in between. A joyous, happy, and present person is more likely to bring something out or something up with a more positive perspective in another person than someone looking for the negative, drama, and being in that low energy, low vibrational state of being. Joyous, happy, and present people are more likely to pick up and point out the good qualities of another person. “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” -Wayne Dyer

Want to take the practice of joy, happiness, and being present to a whole new level or be around those who consistently do? Every year, when the Gallup World Poll releases the happiest nations in the world, Sweden is always in the top five, along with its Nordic neighbors Finland, Denmark, Norway, and Iceland. Analyzing why these countries are so happy shows their optimistic view of life with daily perspectives of positivity, joy, happiness, and enjoying the present moment. Practice does make for perfection, but do not let perfect become the enemy of the good, and the happiness journey of joy and being present will genuinely begin to reveal itself!

Signs They Aren’t Your Soulmate, No Matter How Much You Want Them to Be

Differentiating between a real soulmate vs. someone who is not a soulmate can be difficult. Signs of a soulmate include a deep connection, the feeling of completeness and sharing the same values and goals. A soulmate brings out the best in you and unconditionally supports your growth. On the other hand, someone who is not your soulmate may bring out negativity and the relationship may feel forced or one-sided. It’s important to recognize these signs to avoid settling for someone who doesn’t truly bring happiness and fulfillment into your life.

The following are signs someone is not your soulmate:

1. If the person you believe is your soulmate doesn’t feel the connection, they may not be your soulmate. While soulmates can deny the existence of the connection at times, in this instance the person is genuinely rejecting the connection. If they genuinely reject what you believe is a connection, the relationship becomes one-sided. It’s important to pay attention to their feelings and try not to force a connection that isn’t there. If they don’t feel the same connection, it may be time to accept they’re not your soulmate.

2. If the only way you connect with someone is through physical intimacy, it may be a sign they’re not your soulmate. Physical attraction doesn’t necessarily denote a spiritual or emotional connection. Soulmates can have great chemistry, but attraction alone is not enough to sustain a lasting, meaningful relationship.

3. If you find yourself unable to maintain a consistent, healthy relationship with someone, it’s a sign they’re probably not your soulmate. Some soulmates will run from the connection and can become on/off relationships. While soulmates can experience ups and downs in their relationship, true love should ultimately endure. It can be easy to confuse a tumultuous relationship with a soulmate connection because dysfunctional relationships also fall into the on/off pattern. Ultimately, if you can’t build a stable, supportive partnership with someone, it’s unlikely they’re your soulmate.

4. If someone brings out the worst in you, they may not be your soulmate. You might find yourself doing all the wrong things because you know they’re not the right person for you. Don’t ignore this behavior, and make excuses for it, because you believe they’re your soulmate. Take responsibility for your actions and reconsider whether this person is a good match for you. Remember a true soulmate will inspire you to be your best self, not the worst version of yourself.

5. The last sign they’re not your soulmate is that they’re false from the beginning. They will say and do all the right things, pretend to be someone they are not and create this whirlwind relationship with a purpose. Sadly, their only purpose is to dump you at a certain point, when they get what they want. All the things they say, they never mean. It’s just a façade. They aren’t truly invested in the relationship and only using it as a means to an end. They know they will never deliver the plans they talk about in the beginning. They just like the whirlwind part that happens in the beginning. They know they’re going to let you down whenever it’s time to take the relationship to another level or when their ex comes back. This realization can be painful, but it’s important to move on and find someone who is genuine and truly meant for you.

Recognizing a true soulmate can be a difficult task, but it’s crucial to identify them early on to prevent potential negative outcomes. True love means not compromising your ideals, values and beliefs and having a strong connection that goes beyond physical attraction. Being with the right person can bring happiness and fulfillment while being in the wrong relationship can lead to emotional distress. Being mindful of the signs that reveal if someone is truly a soulmate is crucial for your emotional well-being.
